- Mark out the area and dig the top layer of soil, trying to get the ground as flat as possible.
- Build a timber frame to size.
- Measure out 4 rows of 3 blocks to create good weight distribution and lay in place.
- Underneath each block, dig around 50mm wider than the blocks and about 150mm deep. Fill the hole with pea gravel until it’s flat.
- Place timber planks along the rows of blocks and see how level it is. Add or remove blocks where necessary. If it’s only a small difference, use shingle underneath the timber until it’s level.
- Nail your timber shed base to the timber planks to create a sturdy base for your shed.
Caersws
Caersws is a village as well as area on the River Severn, in the Welsh county of Powys (Montgomeryshire) 5 miles (8 kilometres) west of Newtown, and also halfway in between Aberystwyth and also Shrewsbury. It has a station on the Cambrian Line from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,526, increasing slightly to 1,586 at the 2011 Demographics. In modern-day Welsh, Caersws literally indicates "Ft Kiss", although sws probably derives from some other resource. It has actually been said that the site may maintain a Roman-era devotion to Zeus or protect the name of a conjectured British queen Swswen.
