Studley
Studley is a huge village and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Positioned on the western edge of Warwickshire near the boundary with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch as well as 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, travels through the village on its eastern edge, alongside the River Arrow. The name derives from the Old English leah, being a meadow or field, where horses, stod, are kept. Studley is occasionally asserted to be the largest village in England, nonetheless, this is incorrect as it is not also the biggest village in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth and also Bulkington are bigger, by population, they could be classed as a suburban. The UK Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, decreasing to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
