Steyning
Steyning is a little country community and civil parish in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England. It is located at the north end of the River Adur space in the South Downs, four miles (6.4 kilometres) north of Shoreham-by-Sea. The smaller towns of Bramber as well as Upper Beeding make up, with Steyning, a built-up area at this crossing-point of the river. The parish has a land area of 1,574 hectares (3,890 acres). In the 2001 demographics 5,812 people resided in 2,530 homes, of whom 2,747 were financially energetic. In Steyning there is access to a selection of facilities including four public houses, the prize-winning Steyning Tea Areas, four estate agents and barclays bank. There is a recreation centre, which was built with National Lotto financing. It has a modern health and wellness centre, a town library as well as the Steyning Gallery. A springtime fair is held on the Springtime bank holiday (the last Monday in May), The Monarch's Way long-distance path skirts the southerly end of the town.
