Cardigan
Cardigan is a community as well as neighborhood in the area of Ceredigion in Wales. The community lies on a tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion, formerly Cardiganshire, fulfills Pembrokeshire. Cardigan was the county town of the historical area and also is the second-largest town in Ceredigion. The biggest community, Aberystwyth, is just one of both administrative centres; the various other being Aberaeron. The negotiation at Cardigan was established around the Norman castle constructed in the late 11th or very early 12th century. The castle was the area of the first National Eisteddfod in 1176. The town ended up being an important port in the 18th century, but declined by the very early 20th century owing to its shallow harbour. The castle underwent restoration in 2014. The population in 2001 was 4,203, decreasing a little to 4,184 at the 2011 census. Modern Cardigan is a small and also active community, having most of the centers for retail, education and learning, health, prayer and sporting activity.
