Cardigan
Cardigan is a community as well as neighborhood in the region of Ceredigion in Wales. The community lies on a tidal reach of the River Teifi at the factor where Ceredigion, formerly Cardiganshire, meets Pembrokeshire. Cardigan was the county town of the historic region and is the second-largest community in Ceredigion. The largest town, Aberystwyth, is one of both management centres; the various other being Aberaeron. The settlement at Cardigan was established around the Norman castle built in the late 11th or very early 12th century. The castle was the place of the initial National Eisteddfod in 1176. The town became an essential port in the 18th century, however decreased by the very early 20th century owing to its superficial harbour. The castle undertook remediation in 2014. The population in 2001 was 4,203, lowering a little to 4,184 at the 2011 census. Modern Cardigan is a small and busy community, having the majority of the facilities for retail, education and learning, health and wellness, praise and sport.
