Ashbourne
Ashbourne is a market town in the Derbyshire Dales in England. Because of its proximity to the southern edge of the Peak District and being the nearest town to the well known area of Dovedale, the town is generally known as both the 'Gateway to Dovedale' and the 'Gateway to the Peak District'. This has meant that tourism has always been critical to the town's economy. As per the 2011 Census, the town has a resident population of about 8377 people.
