I am looking for a solid oak floor to be sanded and restained to a dark oak finish
Renovating floors can entail a wide range of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing floors. The sort of renovation work will be based upon the kind of the current flooring. In older properties with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will often include repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be an attractive attribute of the house. In newer homes with carpet or real wood floors, restoration is more likely to require entirely exchanging the existing flooring, either like for like employing a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden flooring, the procedure of renovation usually consists of sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles substituted, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will commonly require replacing the carpet. Specialist floor renovation companies can advise you of the best method to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old floors up to a high standard. Specialist tools might also be required for repairing or replacing flooring.
The typical cost of Flooring renovation is £600. Costs alter based upon the materials and the business selected. The upper price range can be as high as £690. The material costs are ordinarily around £150

Bingley is a market town in the metropolitan borough of the City of Bradford positioned in West Yorkshire, England. The town lies on the River Aire and also the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and is located in Airedale on the south of Ilkley Moor. In recent years, the population has dropped, having a population of roughly 20,000 in 2001 and decreasing to about 18,000 as per the 2011 Census. The definition of the town's name is interpreted as 'Bing's Clearing' and originates from the Saxon language. The town's initial settlement served the ford across the River Aire at the narrowest point of the Aire Valley, and Ireland Bridge was built in 1986 with the intention of replacing the ford. Much of the older history of the town is still present within the town, for instance the Bingley Grammar School, founded in the sixteenth century, which is considered to be 1 of the oldest schools in the country. Bingley is home to an abundance of local retailers, a street market, banks as well as the 'Little Theatre'. There are also efficient transportation links in the town, with a railway station in the town centre and also the Leeds Bradford Airport close by. Barges on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal travel through the Bingley Five Rise Locks, with tourists frequently watching barges navigating the locks. Because of its mostly unspoilt habitat, walking and cycling in the town is popular, and golfers can play at the Bingley St. Ives Golf Club. A yearly music festival, Bingley Music Live, is hosted from Myrtle Park, offering a range of top quality music attracting a significant audience. For all of your house upgrades, make sure that you employ trusted experts in Bingley to make sure you get a fantastic quality service.

One the several of the several benefits that comes with having a wooden floor installed is the fact that damaged surfaces can be repaired without the need to replace the floor in the whole room. This is not applicable to many other types of flooring whereby even the littlest damages are not reparable. Depending on the severity and depth of the wooden flooring damage, there are a number of techniques you can incorporate to repair the affected area. For examples, minor damages will not require as much effort as corner curling or cupping. In certain cases where the job requires no expertise, the repair process can be done by any individual with no prior experience in similar works. However, in other cases, when the wooden flooring has suffered a major damage, it’s advisable to call for a professional help.
First of all, it’s quite important to always watch out and prevent any sort of damages as this is way better than spending time trying to have the damaged surface repaired. One of the ways to prevent damages is by always lifting furniture rather than just dragging it across the floor when you need to move it. However, accidents are always meant to happen. In the case of damaged wooden flooring, here are some repair solutions.
When there are small scratches on your flooring, simply add a new coating of sealer to your floor (if the floor has already been oiled, just add another layer of oil). For lacquered floors, make use of a lacquer repair pen to help get rid of the scratches. In addition, there are some DIY shops offering wax filler sticks which can be used to hide or remove both light and medium scratches on wooden flooring.
