Beauly
Beauly is a town in the Kilmorack Parish of the Scottish County of Inverness, on the River Beauly, 10 miles (16 kilometres) west of Inverness by the Far North railway line. The community is now within the Highland council area. The land around Beauly is abundant - traditionally corn was expanded extensively and extra just recently fruit has efficiently been farmed. The community traditionally traded in coal, hardwood, lime, grain as well as fish. In January 2010, the Scottish government approved questionable plans for a high-voltage line upgrade that will start in Beauly and also end in Denny, Falkirk. The new high-voltage line, part of a strategy to lug power produced by wind ranches on the Western Isles, was called "the most substantial grid facilities job in a generation" by Jim Mather MSP. The 220-kilometre (140 mi) line will certainly include a network of 600 pylons, varying in elevation from 42 to 65 metres (138 to 213 feet). The first part of the transmission circuit (Beauly to Fort Augustus) was activated in July 2013. The population of Beauly was 1,126 in 1991, 1,283 in 2001 and also 1,365 in 2011.
