Ashbourne is a market town within the Derbyshire Dales in England. Because of its proximity to the southern edge of the Peak District and being the nearest town to the well known area of Dovedale, the town is known as both the 'Gateway to Dovedale' and also the 'Gateway to the Peak District'.
