Holywood is a town in the city of Belfast in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is a civil parish and townland consisting of 755 acres resting on the bank of Belfast Lough, in between Belfast and Bangor. Holywood Urban Area is classified as a medium town within the Belfast Metropolitan Urban Area (BMUA) by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, with the 2001 Census documenting a permanent population of 12037. Within this population, around 20 percent are aged under 16 years of age and 21 percent were aged 60 and over. 50.6 percent of the population is male and 49.4 percent is female. The train line from Belfast to Holywood arrived in 1848, and this brought on swift growth. This expansion, in combination with that of nearby towns and villages along the coastal strip to Bangor, required the construction of the Holywood Bypass in the early 1970s. The town is a popular residential area and is noted for its trendy shops, boutiques, arts and crafts. Holywood is most well-known for its maypole at the crossroads in the centre of town. Its origin remains rather unclear, however, according to local tradition, it derives from 1700, when a Dutch ship is said to have run aground on the coast close by, and the crew set up the damaged mast to display their gratitude of the assistance offered to them by the townsfolk. The maypole continues to be in routine use for dancing at the annual May Day fair. The town also holds an annual jazz and blues gala. There are numerous sporting options in Holywood, being home to football clubs, golf clubs, cricket clubs and an athletics association. For all your home upgrades, make certain to make use of dependable contractors in Holywood to make certain of quality.

If your fuse box keeps tripping or blowing fuses, it may need replacing. Other signs that your fuse box is not working properly include humming, sparking and lack of power. Contact an electrician and ask for a safety report, this will diagnose the problem and lead to a quick fix.
With age and use any electrical installation in your home will wear. A periodic inspection is therefore carried out to ensure your home electrics are in a satisfactory condition. With a periodic inspection: Ensure your electrical circuits aren’t overloaded, Avoid accidents such as shocks and fire hazards, Discover if there are any defective lines,Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding..
Periodic testing and inspections should be completed: Every 10 years for your home, Every five years for rented accommodation, Every three years for a caravan, Every year for a swimming pool.Electrical inspections are also carried out when buying, selling or renting a property.
You can find out roughly how old your wiring is by simply looking at it. If the wiring around your fuse box is covered in old-fashioned casing, or is damaged or fraid, it may be over 25 years old and need replacing. This is more common in older properties or houses that have been empty for long periods of time.
We can help you get more Electrical testing (pat testing) work and boost your business.
