Very good
The regular cost of replacing your gas boiler is £2,500. Costs vary based upon the type and brand of boiler you choose as well as the business you decide to go with. For example, a small local business may be able to offer a better price than a large national company as they will have fewer overheads. Itâs best to get a range of quotes from different boiler engineers so you can compare prices, reviews and references before going ahead.

The London Borough of Lewisham is a London borough in south-east London, England and forms a part of Inner London. The borough wasestablished in 1965, by the London Government Act 1963, as an amalgamation of the former location of the Metropolitan Borough of Lewisham plus the Metropolitan Borough of Deptford, which had been created in 1900 as divisions of the County of London. However, minor boundary alterations have occurred since its creation. One of the most important amendments were made in 1996, when the former area of the Royal Docks in Deptford was transferred from the London Borough of Greenwich.
The local authority is Lewisham London Borough Council and it is based in Catford. The borough covers a total area of about 13.57 square miles. It is encompassed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to the east, the London Borough of Bromley to the south and also the London Borough of Southwark to the west. The River Thames forms a short section of northern boundary together with the Isle of Dogs within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Deptford Creek, Pool River, River Quaggy and River Ravensbourne pass by way of the borough.
As outlined by population estimates made during 2014, Lewisham is a borough with around 291933 permanent residents. Significant landmarks include All Saints Church in Blackheath, the Citibank Tower in Lewisham and Dietrich Bonhoeffer Church. The Prime Meridian passes through Lewisham. Blackheath, Goldsmiths, University of London and Millwall F.C. are positioned within the borough.

A combination boiler, also referred to as a “combi boiler, delivers both domestic hot water and space heating in a single package so as to save space, and in a lot of cases, money. These great features makes the appliance a very popular choice in UK homes and in fact, it represents more than 50 percent of all new boilers fitted in the UK on a yearly basis.
Most modern and high efficiency combi boilers are usually stainless steel condensing boilers which normally features an in-built secondary heat exchanger to deliver domestic hot water to a home or property. What’s more? When it comes to the heating season or the cold months, the combi boiler will operated as required to heat a structure and offer hot water for showers, sinks as well as other hot water appliances around the house. And when it gets to the warm season or summer months, the combi boiler will only work when there’s a need for domestic hot water which also helps you save more money.
Combi boilers are able to provide domestic hot water in such a way that’s energy efficient due to two primary reasons - the combi units possess a very high operating efficiency and also have a low internal water volume. As a result, in during the hot summer when space heating is not required, you’ll only have to pay to heat up the hot water that you really need and not an entire tank.
Combi boilers also have the following benefits:
✓ Lower costs. Due to the combined nature of the boiler and the lack of tank in the roof space, the installation time and costs are at a minimum.
✓ Saves space in your home as it effectively combines a central heating boiler with a water heater into one unit.
Re-pressurising your boiler means that you allow more water to enter system via the filling loop. It can be easy to re-pressurise your boiler yourself. Always check your manual, but there are some simple steps you can take to restore pressure to your boiler:
• Switch off your boiler and let it cool completely
• Make sure both ends of your filling loop are attached
• Open both valves to allow cold water into the system – you’ll hear it start to move
• Look out for your pressure gauge to show 1.5 bar
• Close both valves
• Switch your boiler back on
• Undo both ends of your filling loop and remove it. Remember some water might come out, so be ready to catch some spillage!
If you’re thinking about getting a new combi boiler, you may be wondering just how much it’s going to cost so as to start making preparations as soon as possible. However, providing a precise cost for the acquisition and installation of a new combi boiler is simply impossible as combi boiler prices vary greatly in price - usually ranging between £1500 to about £3500 based on the brand of the combi boiler, the insurance or warranty, installation, your location as well as the size and power of the appliance. Due to the fact that combi boilers are compact units which doesn’t need a hot water cylinder or a cold water tank to produce heating and hot water for homes, it’s a very popular type of boiler that’s frequently used especially in the UK.
Combi boilers are also widely known to be the most energy efficient type of boiler because they are able to provide an instant supply of hot water anytime you turn on a tap. Combi boilers particularly perfect for flats and houses where space is limited as they have the ability to deliver instant heating and hot water without requiring any extra parts or components.
In the event whereby you’re about to choose a combi boiler for your home or property, it’s always advisable to compare models as well as prices from only the most reliable and sought after brands across the globe. Depending on the manufacturer, the overall quality of the boilers as well as their prices can differ. However, regardless of your budget, you’ll discover there are a plethora of combi boilers available in the market that’ll also suit your taste.
The size of boiler you need will depend on the size of your home, how many radiators and bathrooms you have and how many people live there. The boiler size refers to its output, which is measured in kilowatts (kW), rather than the actual dimensions. Speak to your boiler engineer about which boiler is suitable for you, as if you have more than one bathroom or a lot of people in your home a combi boiler might not suit you. Other boiler types such as system boilers or conventional boilers may be better suited to larger homes because they have bigger outputs.
