The London Borough of Wandsworth is a London borough in England, and forms part of Inner London. The borough borders the London Borough of Lambeth to the east, the London Borough of Merton along with the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames to the south, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames towards the west and to the north, across the River Thames, 3 boroughs, namely the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea plus the City of Westminster.

In Old Battersea two masonry mansions survived The Blitz, Old Battersea House and Downshire House, both of which hold the uncommon Grade II* status.
