Stansted
Stansted Mountfitchet is an English village and civil parish in Uttlesford area, Essex, near the Hertfordshire boundary, 35 miles (56 kilometres) north of London. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,533, raising to 6,011 at the 2011 census. The town is served by Stansted Mountfitchet train station. Stansted Mountfitchet is located in north west Essex near the Hertfordshire boundary and also 3 miles (5 km) north of Bishop's Stortford. Stansted Airport is 2 miles (3 kilometres) from the village. The town has three primary schools (Bentfield Primary School, St Mary's (C of E) Primary School and Magna Carta Primary Academy), and one senior high school which was relabelled the Forest Hall School in September, 2013.
