You should make sure that all signs of damp have gone before you redecorate your walls. If you want to paint your walls with a water-permeable emulsion paint, you can usually do this after 1 or 2 months. For other types of decoration you should wait longer.
Isle Of Benbecula
Benbecula is an island of the Outer Hebrides, in the Atlantic Ocean off the west shore of Scotland. In the 2011 census it had a generally resident population of 1,283, with a large percent of Roman Catholics. It develops part of the area carried out by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar or the Western Isles Council. The island is about 12 km from west to east and also a comparable distance from north to south. It lies in between the islands of North Uist as well as South Uist; it is linked to both by roadway embankments. Travel to any of the other Hebridean islands, or to the British landmass, is by air or sea. Benbecula Airport on the island has day-to-day trips to Glasgow, Stornoway and Barra. A straight service to Inverness was introduced in 2006 yet discontinued in May 2007. There are no straight ferryboat solutions from Benbecula to the landmass, but a service run by Caledonian MacBrayne from Lochboisdale on South Uist offers a five-hour going across to Oban on the landmass, whilst an additional solution from Lochmaddy on North Uist supplies a two-hour going across to Uig on the Inner Hebridean island of Skye, and for this reason to the landmass via the Skye Bridge. Ferry services from the islands of Berneray (connected by embankment to North Uist) and Eriskay (linked to South Uist) connect to the various other Outer Hebridean islands of Harris and also Barra respectively. There is a thick cluster of lochs across almost the whole island, and mostly all of the island is listed below 20 metres in altitude.
