Shifnal
Shifnal is a market community and also civil parish in Shropshire, England, concerning 3 miles (5 kilometres) eastern of Telford. It has a railway station on the Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton Line and is near the M54 motorway. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 6,391, enhancing to 6,776 at the 2011 census. With a multitude of on-going housing developments this is expected to pass 10,000 by 2020. In late 2018 prepare for a 2nd, far bigger growth of Shifnal, were revealed by Shropshire County Council. The proposals, which created significant regional conflict and also led to a public meeting, included approximately one more 1,500 homes, 40 hectares of work land and a bypass south of the town by 2036.
