Saxmundham
Saxmundham is a small market town in Suffolk, England, embeded in the valley of the River Fromus about 18 miles (29 km) north-east of Ipswich and also 5 miles (8.0 kilometres) west of the coastline at Sizewell. The community is bypassed by the A12. It is served by Saxmundham railway station on the East Suffolk Line. Saxmundham Town Council comes under the brand-new East Suffolk District. The town's name apparently stems from the Old English "Seizmond's House". The earliest recorded reference of Saxmundham is in the Domesday Book of 1086 which states 3 churches.
