Kyle
Kyle of Lochalsh is a village in the historic region of Ross-shire on the northwest coastline of Scotland, situated around 55 miles (90 km) west-southwest of Inverness. It is located on the Lochalsh peninsula, at the entry to Loch Alsh, opposite the town of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. A ferryboat used to link both towns up until it was changed by the Skye Bridge, about a mile (1.6 kilometres) to the west, in 1995. The town is the transport and also shopping centre for the area as well as having a harbour and marina with pontoons for maritime site visitors. The surrounding scenery and wildlife are considered destinations of the town, as is the slow rate of life. Crofting as well as more current crofting quests like salmon farming are a few of the tasks occurring in Kyle of Lochalsh.
