Camden

The London Borough of Camden is a borough in north west London, and forms part of Inner London. The southern reaches of Camden form a part of central London. The borough was created in 1965 from the former area of the metropolitan boroughs of Hampstead, Holborn, and St Pancras, which had formed a part of the County of London. The borough was named after Camden Town, which had gained its name from Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden in 1795. The transcribed diaries of William Copeland Astbury, just lately made obtainable, describe Camden and the surrounding areas in significant detail from 1829 to 1848. The local authority is Camden London Borough Council.

Neighbouring locations are the City of Westminster along with the City of London to the south, Brent to the west, Barnet and Haringey towards the north and Islington to the east. Based on population estimates from the middle of 2014, Camden includes a permanent population of around 234846 individuals. You'll find 162 English Heritage blue plaques inside the borough of Camden representing the a lot of diverse personalities which have lived there. The borough is also home to a wide number of attractions, like the Bloomsbury Theatre, Camden Market, the Foundling Museum and Kenwood House.

All bus services are run by Transport for London, and buses serve every suburb inside the borough. 3 of the fourteen central London's railway terminals are situated within the borough, which are Euston, St. Pancras International and King's Cross.

How to clean a conservatory roof?

The roof is the place that your conservatory is most likely to get grubby, but cleaning it is easy. You shouldn’t need to use any powerful cleaners – just warm water and a mild detergent.

The best tool to use to access your conservatory roof is a telescopic brush. This will help you get into corners and high areas without needing to work from height. You can use a ladder to help you clean your conservatory roof, but you should be very careful to avoid leaning it against any glazing

.

How to maintain your aluminium conservatory?

Aluminium conservatories are really easy to maintain, making them a top choice for many homeowners. Unlike wooden conservatories, they don’t need regular treatment to ensure they don’t deteriorate.

What is the difference between a conservatory and an orangery?

Conservatories and orangeries look very similar, so it can be hard to tell what their differences are. The main thing that distinguishes the two is the amount of glazing they have.

Conservatories usually have a roof that is made up of at least 75% glass. Orangeries, on the other hand, have roofs that are generally less than 75% glass.

Conservatories also tend to have walls that are made up of at least 50% glass. However, orangeries have glass on less than 50% of the wall area.

Orangeries were originally developed to grow oranges in large stately homes. Their mixture of brick and glazing gave the oranges a combination of plenty of sunlight and shelter.
