Pencader
Pencader is a little town in the Welsh county of Carmarthenshire, and also is part of the Area as well as Parish of Llanfihangel-ar-Arth. It lies around 3 miles (5 km) south-east of Llandysul and 6.5 miles (10 km) south-west of Llanybydder, in the valley of the Gwen brook, shortly prior to the confluence with the River Talog, to develop the River Tyweli (a tributary of the Teifi). It is a quiet town with little greater than 500 houses, 2 shops, as well as 2 clubs. Pencader's background returns a long way. For years, it was among the major quits on the Carmarthen - Aberystwyth rail course, and also was the junction for the service to Newcastle Emlyn; the Pencader Tunnel made it possible for services to reach Carmathen using Llanpumsaint. The decrease of the trains saw the Newcastle Emlyn branch line closed in 1952 and also the main line closed to guests in 1965.
