Very good
The home heating system is among the most important areas of the house. Your boiler will provide you with heat and hot water all year round and the chances are you take little notice of it. Why would you if it's churning out heat throughout the year without having a problem?
But how costly are your energy bills? Are you aware that changing your central heating boiler will save you over £300 a year on bills due to the enhanced efficiency? If your boiler is in excess of 10-years old, then the odds are there's an enormous saving to be made.
Nevertheless, paying for a new boiler isn't the most affordable of property improvements. It's not the most expensive either, and you could be looking at in between £1,500 and £2,000 for a very efficient combi central heating boiler.
To help beat this initial price tag you might consider central heating boiler finance. With finance you'll pay back a regular monthly fee for however long you choose to cover the cost of the boiler. This may be as few as twelve months and definitely helps those who can't pay the total one-off payment.
In case your boiler breaks down suddenly too, you may want to think of boiler finance without the money easily available in the bank. Boiler finance is ideal and even though there exists a small interest payment, it's a practical alternative.
The average cost of replacing your gas boiler is £2,500. Costs differ based on the type and brand of boiler you choose as well as the provider you decide to go with. For example, a small local business may be able to offer a better price than a large national tradesman as they will have fewer overheads. Itâs best to get a range of quotes from different boiler engineers so you can compare prices, reviews and references before going ahead.

Maldon is a town on the Blackwater Estuary in the English county of Essex. It makes up the seat of the Maldon District and the start of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of around 14220. Evidence attests that East Saxons made their initial settlement in the area during the 5th century and it soon transformed into a central Saxon port with a hythe or quayside and artisan quarters. Historical proof has indicated the success of the port, uncovering objects such as imported pottery, and it is thought that from 958, there was the establishment of a royal mint issuing coins for the late Anglo-Saxon and early Norman kings. It was one of the first two towns in Essex, with the second being Colchester. In accordance with the Domesday Book of 1086, there were 54 households and 180 townsmen. The town is most renowned for Maldon Sea Salt, which has been produced by the Maldon Crystal Salt Company ever since 1882. Throughout the course of the year, the town hosts a wide array of events and activities. Of particular note is the annual 'Taxi Day', which entails kids with special educational needs from London being driven to Maldon in London Black Cabs in order to take part in a fun day of activities followed by a meal. The celebration was set up in 1952 when a London taxi driver visited the Elizabeth Fry Special School in Plaistow and intended to do something memorable for the kids there. The town additionally hosts the Maldon mud race, which consists of racing across the Blackwater Estuary at low tide, in order to raise money for a range of charities. For all of your house upgrades, make sure to make use of trusted experts in Maldon to make certain of quality.

If you get the right size boiler for your home and you get it serviced regularly, your boiler could last up to 15 years. It may even last longer than this, but you’ll find that your boiler begins to become less efficient as it gets older. Also, as technology improves, a boiler older than 15 years may not be the most efficient one on the market.
Condensing boilers are the in-thing when it comes to modern heating systems in UK homes and across the globe for a good reason. This is primarily due to the fact that condensing boilers happens to be highly efficient as it enables the fuel you’re burning to heat up your home go a lot further. Having a new high efficiency condensing boiler rather than an old G-rated non condensing boiler will not only enhance your heating controls, but also save you a lot of money annually. In this article, we’re going to take you through the basics of a condensing boiler. Let’s take a closer look!
If you’re interested in getting a greener and more efficient boiler, you simply can’t afford to look beyond a high efficiency condensing boiler. This is purely due to the fact that these condensing boilers happens to make a better use of the heat they’re able to produce from burning fuels like oil or gas ( in other words, they require less heat from the burner, which makes them a lot more efficient).
So how does a condensing boiler work? Unlike a non-condensing heat-nly boiler, some heat will be wasted in form of hot gases which are released from the flue. Meanwhile a condensing boiler captures some of the heat from these gases and puts them to use for heating up water that’s coming back from your central heating system. As a result, it requires just a minimal heat from the burner which make the boiler more efficient.
You should take note that all new modern boilers are condensing boilers. Therefore if you’re planning to replace an old boiler with a new one, you’ll definitely be buying a new condensing boiler and benefit from all the efficiency and savings that comes with it.
A boiler is simply the most important part of a central heating system as it generates the heat that warms up the home or property. Basically, the appliance or small furnace makes use of gas, LPG or oil in order to fuel its operation. However in the UK, most boilers are usually fuelled by natural gas which is supplied automatically from the national gas grid. And depending on how it operates, there are various types of boilers.
Typically, a gas central heating boiler will have multiple pipes entering from underneath. While one pipe supplies the boiler with gas from the mains gas supply, another pipe allows cold water to enter the boiler to be heated, the last pipe then enables hot water to exit the boiler so it can be distributed around the home.
✓ There are fuel jets and heat exchangers inside the boiler. When the heating is turned on, a valve is opened to allow the mains supply gas to enter a sealed combustion chamber in the boiler. There are multiple little valves which permit the entry of the gas before being ignited by an electric ignition switch. These jets heat a metal component in the boiler known as a heat exchanger which works to transfer the heat to the cold water pipe and heat up the water.
✓ Once the water has been heated to the target temperature, it’s then pumped through a circuit of pipe which runs around your home by an electric pump.
✓ The heated water enter each radiator, is then transmitted via a closed loop and radiates heat into each room.
✓ Once done travelling through all radiators, the water then returns to the boiler at which it must have been cooled. Therefore, the boiler will have to reheat following the same process before circulating. The water can only be drained by a professional Gas Safe engineer
When it comes to gas boilers, this is one of the most frequent questions that always pops up and for a good reason. When you invest a considerable amount of money to acquire and install a gas boiler in your home or property, it’s only reasonable not only to expect the boiler to warm up your home efficiently, but also to do so for a long period of time. If you’ve just bought or about to get a new gas boiler, it’s likely you won’t have to worry about getting a replacement for a lengthy period of time. Several gas boilers will last for anywhere between 10 to 15 years on the average. However in the event whereby you have an existing one that’s fast approaching the end of it’s useful life, then you should know the time go get a new gas boiler is just around the corner, and the earlier you make the purchase, the better (to avoid any surprise breakdowns that’ll leave your home super uncomfortable).
Just like any other home appliance, it’s a fact that an older gas boiler ( especially those that have been installed over a decade ago) are significantly less efficient that the new modern ones. When the older versions were manufactured is a completely different time to now as both technology and climate concerns are wide apart. So when your existing boiler is approaching the end of it’s useful life, it’ll be wise to start saving up to cover the cost of getting a new one. However, if it’s only about 5 years ago your boiler was installed, it’s highly likely to still be very efficient.
