New Quay
New Quay is a seaside town (and also electoral ward) in Ceredigion, Wales with a resident population of around 1,200 people, reducing to 1,082 at the 2011 census. Found on Cardigan Bay with a harbour and also huge sandy coastlines, it lies on the Ceredigion Coast Path, and continues to be a prominent seaside resort and also conventional fishing community. As well as stores, dining establishments and clubs, New Quay has a huge primary school, a doctors' surgery, a small branch of the county library service and a fire station. New Quay Lifeboat Station, operated by the RNLI, houses 2 lifeboats: a Mersey class named Frank as well as Lena Clifford of Stourbridge in commitment to its primary benefactors and an inshore inflatable D course. In 2014 the terminal commemorated 150 years of service, throughout which period it made 940 callouts. Public transportation is given by normal bus services to Aberaeron, Cardigan as well as Aberystwyth. The town has never had a train service, as systems to open up routes to Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn were deserted in the 1860s, which from the Aberaeron to Lampeter branch line (the Lampeter, Aberayron as well as New Quay Light Railway) was never ever finished due to the First World War. A couple of miles outside New Quay is a honey farm. There is a public park on top of New Quay alongside a tennis court.
