Henlow
Henlow is a village as well as civil parish in the Central Bedfordshire district of the county of Bedfordshire, England about 10.75 miles (17 km) south-east of the county town of Bedford. The 2011 census gives the population as 2,253 for the town and also 3,815 for the church. The parish consists of RAF Henlow and that part of Henlow Camp located eastern of the A600 road. RAF Henlow is located close by, however is nearer to the town of Stondon. The noncombatant settlement of Henlow Camp has matured close to the RAF station. There is a health farm in Henlow at Henlow Grange, part of the Champneys team. There are 3 public houses. There are several concepts as to the beginning of the name Henlow. Henna hlaw is one, implying in old English "Hill of birds". Henlow was also in some cases utilized to show a tomb. The parish church, parts of which are 13th-century, is committed to St Mary the Virgin.
