Wemyss Bay
Wemyss Bay is a town on the coast of the Firth of Clyde in Inverclyde in the west main Lowlands of Scotland. It remains in the traditional region of Renfrewshire. It is adjacent to Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire. The villages have constantly remained in separate counties, separated by the Kelly Burn. Wemyss Bay is the port for ferryboats on the Sea Road to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. Passengers from the island can connect to Glasgow by trains, which end in the town at the exceptional Wemyss Bay train station, noted for its architectural high qualities and regarded as among Scotland's finest train buildings. The port is very revealed, so in high winds the ferryboats have to travel up river to Gourock to dock.
