Studley
Studley is a big village as well as civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon area of Warwickshire, England. Situated on the western edge of Warwickshire near the border with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch as well as 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, goes through the village on its eastern side, alongside the River Arrow. The name stems from the Old English leah, being a field or pasture, where steeds, stod, are maintained. Studley is occasionally asserted to be the biggest village in England, nonetheless, this is incorrect as it is not even the biggest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth and also Bulkington are larger, by population, they could be classed as a rural. The United Kingdom Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, reducing to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
