Camelford
Camelford is a community and also civil parish in north Cornwall, England, UK, situated in the River Camel valley northwest of Bodmin Moor. The community is around ten miles (16 kilometres) north of Bodmin as well as is controlled by Camelford Town Council. [3] Lanteglos-by-Camelford is the clerical parish in which the community is positioned (not to be perplexed with Lanteglos-by-Fowey). The ward population at the 2011 Census was 4,001. The Community population at the same census was 865 only. Camelford remains in the North Cornwall legislative constituency represented by Scott Mann MP because 2015. Till 1974, the community was the management head office of Camelford Rural District. The two major industrial business in the location are the slate quarry at Delabole and the cheese factory at Davidstow as well as there is a tiny industrial estate at Highfield. The A39 road (dubbed 'Atlantic Highway') travels through the community centre: a bypass has been talked about for years. Camelford Station, some distance from the town, closed in 1966; the site was consequently used as a biking museum.
