Seeking out wooden fencing fitters in Market Harborough? Our wooden fencing fitters in Market Harborough are able to provide you with the best quotations to have wood fencing installed.
Fencing is needed both for home and industrial buildings for several reasons. It works as a boundary for back gardens and private land, acting as a measure of privacy as well as to keep people and pets in or out.
Features of wooden fencing include added property protection and visual appeal. With a fence in place, it becomes much harder for criminals to get into your house and garden. Ensure to pick out a design which will look fantastic too, especially if for household reasons.
We're able to provide you with as many as four wooden fencing contractors in the area, who'll supply quotes for the work you need carried out. You'll get a home visit from specialists in Market Harborough who'll allow you to determine the right style for your property prior to finishing the installation.
The fitting of a wood fence will need less than one day to undertake, dependant upon the size of area you'd like protected.
The regular cost of a new or replacement fence is approximately £20-£45 per foot, not including removing your existing fence which could cost an extra £5-10 per foot. The labour costs depend on the length and height of your fence, the number of posts and the material used. It will also differ among regions, so it's best to get a few quotes to see what the best price is in your area.

Market Harborough is a market town within the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It is the administrative headquarters of Harborough District Council, and has a population of 22911 inhabitants. In the past at a crossroads for both road and rail, the A6 now circumvents the town to the east, and the A14, which includes east-west traffic, is 6 miles to the south. The town is situated on land that customarily constituted Rockingham Forest, a royal hunting forest used by medieval monarchs after William I. There are two towns within the boundaries of Market Harborough. Great Bowden can be found a mile from the town centre, and Little Bowden is under half a mile from the town centre. The three centres have mostly blended because of ribbon development and infill. Dominating the town centre is the steeple of St. Dionysius Parish Church, which rises directly from the street as there is no church backyard surrounding the structure. The Old Grammar School, a fairly modest lumber property dating back to 1614, has emerged as a symbol of the town. The town square is mostly pedestrianised and surrounded by different buildings, though the majority of buildings situated in the High Street are Georgian structures that continue to be predominately intact. Market Harborough went through considerable transformation in the latter half of the 20th century. This includes the establishment of the headquarters for Golden Wonder crisp producers, and the demolition of the old Symington factory to the building and construction of Eden Court shops and flats. In 1968, the centre of Market Harborough was labelled as a preservation area. In 2007, its popular park, Welland Park, was given Green Flag Award Status, identifying excellence and high environmental standards. For all your home upgrades, make sure to make use of credible contractors in Market Harborough to make certain of quality.

The best way to build a fence depends on what style it is, as different types have different components. However, fencing made up of posts and panels is pretty common. To put this up, you’ll need to start by measuring out and digging holes for your fence posts. Then you’ll need to fit the panels between them and use concrete to secure the posts in the ground.
If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.
As a home or property owner, you’re generally allowed to build next to your neighbour’s fence as long as it’s on your own side of the property. With that in mind, there are certain laws that regulate how close a fence can be built to buildings on the same lot or neighbouring lots. In addition, there are also local bylaws that provide limitations on the placements as well as height of fences so as to address safety hazards. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight into how close you can build to your neighbour. Let’s take a look!
In general, if the fence is in your boundary then you’re allowed to build a 2-metre high brick or wooden fence or wall. However, this may differ depending on your location in the UK. As a result, you may want to reach out to your municipality’s building department in order to determine what these rules and limitations are in your area. In the events whereby there are no such restrictions but you’re still concerned, you can try informing your neighbour what your concerns are. However, if they’re not receptive there are some steps you can take to ensure your plans go as smoothly as possible. These steps include the following:
Not if they are under 1 metre high if next to a road or 2 metres high elsewhere. It’s always recommended to check with your neighbours and the local authority if you are unsure. Other restrictions may apply, for example if a fence might impact driver visibility on nearby roads.
