Alva
Alva is a small town in Clackmannanshire, set in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It is among a variety of villages situated instantly to the south of the Ochil Hills, collectively referred to as the Hillfoots Towns or just The Hillfoots. It lies between Tillicoultry and Menstrie. Alva had a resident population of 5,181 at the 2001 census however this has since been revised to 4,960 in 2006. It flaunts several features such as a park with an occasion hall and a recently opened up outdoor gym, and is the house of Alva Academy. Alva was traditionally in an exclave of Stirlingshire, yet it was moved to Clackmannanshire in 1891.
