Wooler
Wooler is a town in Northumberland, England. It rests on the side of the Northumberland National Park, near the Cheviot Hills. It is a popular base for walkers and is referred to as the "Gateway to the Cheviots". As well as numerous shops and clubs, the community has a youth hostel, many hotels, and campgrounds. It rests on the St. Cuthbert's Way long-distance footpath between Melrose Abbey as well as Lindisfarne. The major A697 links the community with Morpeth as well as Coldstream on the Scottish Border. Wooler has 2 schools; Wooler First School (consisting of Little Acorns Nursery) and Glendale Area Middle School. The colleges and also nursery share a single campus on Brewery Road (from September 2015) supplying education and learning for children in the Glendale location from 2 years of ages to 13 years old. Nearby is Yeavering Bell, crowned by a large Iron Age ft, a fortress of the Votadini. The remnants of lots of stone huts can be seen on its summit. A selecting ward in the same name exists. This ward extends from the Scottish Border south-east to Ingram with a complete population taken at the 2011 Census of 4,266.
