Craigavon is a settlement in north County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Planned as a link to Lurgan and Portadown, with its building beginning in 1965, the area was named after Northern Ireland's 1st Prime Minister, James Craig, 1st Viscount Craigavon. Craigavon rests on an area of flat land near the southeastern coast of Lough Neagh. The surrounding settlements are Aghacommon, Lurgan, Corcreeny, Bleary and Portadown.
