Brackley is a town within south Northamptonshire. It is about 19 miles (31 kilometres) from Oxford and 22 miles (35 km) from Northampton. Their history goes back to the 1600s when a solid silver communion plate was given to the parish. The plate which is still in the possession of St Peters Church is dated 1623, and is inscribed with the names of seven men, whom local folklore believes to have been the morris dancers.
