Studley
Studley is a huge village as well as civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Positioned on the western edge of Warwickshire near the border with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of Redditch as well as 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, travels through the town on its eastern edge, parallel to the River Arrow. The name derives from the Old English leah, being a field or field, where horses, stod, are maintained. Studley is sometimes claimed to be the biggest village in England, however, this is incorrect as it is not also the biggest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth as well as Bulkington are bigger, by population, they could be classified as a country. The United Kingdom Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, reducing to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
