Cornhill-on-tweed
Cornhill-on-Tweed (population 347) is a small town and also civil parish in Northumberland, England regarding 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of Coldstream, Scotland. The communities of West Learmouth and also East Learmouth are located to the south and west of the village respectively. A mile north-west of the village, on a spur above the River Tweed are the earthwork stays of Cornhill Castle. Cornhill-on-Tweed lies at a junction of the A697 and A698 roadways - the latter connecting to Berwick-upon-Tweed, the local considerable community, some 13 miles (21 km) away.
