Cromarty
Cromarty is a community, civil parish as well as former royal burgh in Ross and also Cromarty, in the Highland area of Scotland. In the 2001 census, it had a population of 719. Cromarty is a sea port on the southern shore of the mouth of Cromarty Firth, 5 miles (8 km) seaward from Invergordon on the opposite shore. Until 1890, it was the county town of the former area of Cromartyshire. Cromarty gives its name to one of the sea locations of the British Shipping Forecast.
