Cardigan
Cardigan is a community as well as neighborhood in the area of Ceredigion in Wales. The town rests on a tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion, previously Cardiganshire, meets Pembrokeshire. Cardigan was the county town of the historical county and is the second-largest town in Ceredigion. The largest community, Aberystwyth, is among the two management centres; the various other being Aberaeron. The settlement at Cardigan was created around the Norman castle built in the late 11th or early 12th century. The castle was the place of the very first National Eisteddfod in 1176. The community ended up being an essential port in the 18th century, but decreased by the very early 20th century owing to its shallow harbour. The castle underwent reconstruction in 2014. The population in 2001 was 4,203, lowering somewhat to 4,184 at the 2011 census. Modern Cardigan is a portable and active community, having a lot of the facilities for retail, education and learning, health and wellness, prayer and also sport.
