Wasps are a widespread pest in the UK. Although single wasps can be controlled by spraying with a wasp killer, nests, swarms or constantly present wasps can be troublesome. An experienced pest control company can get rid of wasps by employing a controlled spraying of insecticide which the wasps will then spread themselves through the nest.
Wasps can be dangerous because they are capable of stinging several times. Wasps in nests can swarm when they feel threatened, releasing many wasps into the surrounding area together. If you suspect there might be a wasp nest on your premises, it's critical to keep children and pets away from it. If you cannot identify the nest yourself, it could be necessary to call a pest control specialist who will be able to track it down.
There are a variety of methods that pest control companies can make use of to eliminate wasp nests. The best treatment will vary depending on the exact location of the nest and the scale of the infestation. Typically, a powder insecticide is sprayed on the nest which will kill the wasps. However, for areas that are difficult to reach there are additional alternatives, such as high reach insecticide applicators. Wasp traps are also available if you experience a recurring wasp infestation in an area. These traps may help to lower the quantity of scavenging wasps by luring them to the traps.
The typical cost of Pest control to remove a wasps nest is around £100. Costs can change based the company selected and your area. The upper price range can be as high as £138. Enter your postcode to see average prices in your area.
