Wasps are a widespread pest in the UK. While singular wasps can be treated by spraying with a wasp killer, nests, swarms or persistently present wasps can be troublesome. An experienced pest control company can get rid of wasps by utilising a controlled spraying of insecticide that the wasps will spread themselves through the nest.
Wasps can be dangerous as they are capable of stinging several times. Wasps in nests can swarm when they feel threatened, releasing many wasps into the surrounding area simultaneously. In the event that you suspect there could be a wasp nest in your home, it's important to keep children and pets away from it. If you cannot locate the nest yourself, it might be necessary to call a pest control specialist who will be able to track it down.
There are a variety of methods that pest control companies can utilise to eliminate wasp nests. The best technique will change depending on the exact location of the nest and the amount of wasps. Usually, a powder insecticide is sprayed on the nest that is designed to kill the wasps. However, for areas that are difficult to reach there are other alternatives, such as high reach insecticide applicators. Wasp traps are also available if you experience a repeated wasp infestation in an area. These traps could help to reduce the amount of scavenging wasps by luring them to the traps.
The typical cost of Pest control to remove a wasps nest is around £100. Costs can change based the company selected and your area. The upper price range can be as high as £138. Enter your postcode to see average prices in your area.

Barton-upon-Humber or Barton is a town and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. As recorded in the 2011 Census, the town boasts a permanent resident population of about 11066 people. It is positioned on the south bank of the Humber Estuary at the southern end of the Humber Bridge. It's 46 miles (74 km) east of Leeds, 6 miles (10 kilometres) south-west of Hull and 31 miles (50 kilometres) north-east of the county town of Lincoln. Other neighbouring towns include Scunthorpe towards the south-west and Grimsby to the south-east. The Barton Cleethorpes Branch Line through Grimsby terminates at Barton-on-Humber railway station. The A15 passes to the west of the town cutting through Beacon Hill, and has a junction with the A1077 Ferriby Road to South Ferriby. The B1218 passes north-south through the town, and leads to Barton Waterside. An Anglo-Saxon inhumation cemetery at Castledyke South, in use in the late 5th or early 6th century till the late 7th century, was investigated and partially excavated in 1975. The skeletal remains of 227 individuals were found, including one person who had undergone, and survived, trepanning. The church was reopened in May 2007 as a resource for medical research into the development of diseases, and ossuary, which contained the bones and skeletons of some 2750 people whose remains were removed between 1978 and 1984 from the 1000-year-old burial site, after the Church of England declared the church redundant in 1972. The significance of the human remains lies in their representing the pathology of an isolated group over the period of time between 950 and 1850. An excavation report on one of England's most extensively investigated parish churches, including a volume on the human remains, was published in 2007.
