Wasps are a common pest in the United Kingdom. Although solitary wasps can be managed by spraying with a wasp killer, nests, swarms or constantly visiting wasps can be troublesome. A professional pest control company can eradicate wasps by utilising a controlled spraying of insecticide which the wasps will spread themselves throughout the nest.

Wasps can be dangerous as they are able to sting several times. Wasps in nests can swarm when they feel threatened, releasing many wasps into the nearby area simultaneously. If you believe there might be a wasp nest on your property, it's crucial to keep children and domestic pets away from it. If you fail to locate the nest yourself, it could be necessary to call a pest control expert who will be able to track it down.

There are various methods that pest control companies can use to eliminate wasp nests. The most effective treatment will vary depending on the exact location of the nest and the number of wasps. Usually, a powder insecticide is sprayed on the nest that is designed to kill the wasps. However, for areas that are difficult to access there are additional solutions, such as high reach insecticide applicators. Wasp traps are also available if you experience a repeated wasp infestation in an area. These traps could help to lower the quantity of scavenging wasps by luring them to the traps.

Barmouth

Barmouth is a community as well as area in the region of Gwynedd, north-western Wales, pushing the estuary of the River Mawddach and also Cardigan Bay. Found in the Historic county of Merionethshire, the Welsh form of the name is derived from "Aber" (tidewater) and the river's name, "Mawddach". The English kind of the name is a corruption of the earlier Welsh kind 'Abermawdd'. The community is served by Barmouth railway station. The community grew around the shipbuilding industry, as well as much more lately as a seaside resort. Remarkable structures include the middle ages Ty Gwyn tower house, the 19th century Ty Crwn roundhouse jail and St John's Church. William Wordsworth, a site visitor to Barmouth in the 19th century, defined it hence: "With a fine sea view in front, the mountains behind, the marvelous estuary running eight miles [13 kilometres] inland, as well as Cadair Idris within compass of a day's walk, Barmouth can always hold its own against any competitor." Dinas Oleu (Citadel of Light), which is located east of the community on the adjacent hill, was the very first tract of land to be donated to the National Trust fund.
