About Yorkshire & the Humber Microgeneration Partnership
The Yorkshire and the Humber Microgeneration Partnership (YHMP) is an association of over 150 companies and organisations involved in the microgeneration industry in the region. It provides free impartial advice, MCS accredited installers and products to help customers to benefit from Feed- In Tariffs. It aims to help customers reduce their energy bills, lower their carbon emissions and generate an income from their homes.

The YHMP works in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust, which is a government-backed body encouraging everyone to live a low carbon lifestyle. Its website offers free microgeneration information and provides the details of MCS accredited local installers so that customers can choose a trader committed to upholding the standards of the Partnership.

As well as promoting the installation of microgeneration technologies in Yorkshire and the Humber, YHMP aims to ensure the standards of installation are high and customers receive good service. It aims to help customers choose the best installers by highlighting the best and worst practice and provides online directories of all members. Consumers can filter their search by MCS Installers, Manufacturers or Advocates.

The YHMP produces a quarterly newsletter to promote microgeneration to the public but it also includes more specific information for traders in the industry. Customers can find details of installers in the newsletter.
