The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) is a roofing trade association in the United Kingdom. They have 1000 trade contractors and 173 supplier members, which means that NFRC represents over 70% of the roofing trade.

NFRC aims to provide confidence to clients who use its members. It offers technical support for its members and their clients which helps to prevent disputes. It works to ensure that its members offer high standards of service through an independent vetting procedure. This includes adhering to TrustMark standards. All NFRC trade members hold comprehensive insurance cover, and NFRC can provide insurance-backed warranties which means that the customer can still get work corrected even if the contractor ceases to trade.

NFRC members have access to the first Competent Person Scheme for roofing, CompetentRoofer, where members can self-certify for building regulations on refurbishment work. This saves the customer money as they do not have to apply to the local authority building regulations. They also receive funding for training in areas such as green roofing and MCS accreditation, so customers can be confident they are highly skilled to carry out work that involves energy saving measures.

NFRC provides a database of all their contractor members to allow consumers to search for them online. This allows them to choose a roofer that they trust and can be sure that the contractor will carry out the work to a high standard at a fair price.
