About CHAS
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is available to suppliers and to organisations looking for competent suppliers.CHAS covers health and safety for all types of suppliers, not just construction companies. The aim of the scheme is to save time and money by avoiding the unnecessary duplication of the first stage of the competence assessment.
The benefit of using a CHAS member for your project is you can be assured that they have been assessed for health and safety. They will have up-to-date knowledge of all the relevant health and safety regulations and will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your project.
