Caernarfon is a royal town, community, and port in Gwynedd, Wales, with a population of around 9,615. The city has turned into a significant tourist centre and seat of Gwynedd Council, with a bustling harbour and marina. Caernarfon has grown beyond its medieval walls and experienced heavy suburbanisation. Its population consists of the biggest percentage of Welsh-speaking citizens anywhere in Wales.
