Menai Bridge
Menai Bridge is a town as well as community on the Isle of Anglesey in north-west Wales. It overlooks the Menai Strait as well as lies by the Menai Suspension Bridge, integrated in 1826 by Thomas Telford, just over the water from Bangor. With a population of 3,376, it is the 5th biggest community on the island. There are lots of tiny islands near the town, including Church Island. The Menai Heritage Bridges Event celebrates the world-famous Menai Suspension Bridge, constructed by Thomas Telford, and the Britannia Bridge, constructed by Robert Stephenson.
