Llangammarch Wells
Llangammarch Wells or just Llangammarch (population 541) is a town in the area of Llangamarch in Powys, Wales, resting on the Afon Irfon, and also in the historical area of Brecknockshire (Breconshire). It is the smallest of the 4 spa towns of mid-Wales, together with Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells as well as Llanwrtyd Wells. The day spa was focused on a barium well, which is now closed. The old town is centred on the parish church of St Cadmarch, which is a grade II * listed building. Llangammarch station gets on the Heart of Wales Line with trains provided by Transportation for Wales. It pushes Route 43 of the National Cycle Network. Llangammarch Wells Golf Club (currently inoperative) was founded in 1904. The club as well as training course went away in the 1950s.
