There are two different types: flat plate, where lots of thin tubes carry water through a flat absorber panel, and evacuated tube, where vacuum glass tubes capture the sun’s energy directly. There is little difference in performance between the two but evacuated tube panels do more obviously extrude from the roof.
Crianlarich
Crianlarich is a village in Stirling council area and also in the registration area of Perthshire, Scotland, around 6 miles (10 kilometres) north-east of the head of Loch Lomond. The town costs itself as "the entrance to the Highlands". The name Crianlarich is derived probably from the Gaelic definition either "the lost website" or "the aspen website" (c.f. Gaelic critheann, "aspen"). The town hinges on the glen of Strath Fillan at the north western level of the Trossachs, in the darkness of several Munro heights, notably Ben A lot more, but likewise Stob Binnein and also Cruach Ardrain. Thus Crianlarich is very popular with hillwalkers. Also the village exists midway along the long distance walkway, the West Highland Means. Its area makes Crianlarich a prominent stop for visitors and there are a variety of sorts of over night lodging including guesthouses, B&B s a SYHA Youth Hostel and also a Best Western hotel.
