Carnoustie
Carnoustie is a town and former police burgh inside the council area of Angus in Scotland. It is at the mouth of the Barry Burn on the North Sea coast. In accordance with the 2011 census, Carnoustie features a permanent population of around 11394 inhabitants. This makes it the fourth biggest town in Angus. The town was founded in the late eighteenth century, and it grew quickly during the 1800s because of the development of the local textile market. Carnoustie benefited from the 19th century fashion for sea bathing.
