Fascias and soffits are an essential aspect of the majority of guttering systems. Peacehaven is a town and civil parish in the Lewes district of East Sussex, England. The town covers a total area of around 2 square miles. It is found above the chalk cliffs of the South Downs around 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Brighton city centre, on the A259 road. The pebble beach below the cliffs can be reached by a stairs and concrete driveway and sea walk. There is a variety of green spaces along the A259 and the cliffs, among which is called The Dell. Its site corresponds with the point where the Greenwich meridian crosses the English south coast. The Greenwich meridian is marked by a 3.5 m (11 ft) tall obelisk, commissioned by Charles Neville. It was unveiled on 10 August 1936 and has been transferred two times because of eroding of the cliffs. The parish includes part of the Brighton to Newhaven Cliffs Site of Special Scientific Interest. The cliffs are mostly of geological interest, incorporating many different Santonian and Campanian fossils. The SSSI listing includes flora and animals biological interest too. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of around 14067 people. In general uPVC is used for soffits and fascias as it is very strong and durable. It also requires very little maintenance. However, wood can be used and is still popular on listed properties as it retains the original material. Older and listed buildings may require more traditional materials to be used.
Soffits and fascias are available in lots of different colours. These include black, grey, brown, white and cream. It’s also possible to get them in brighter colours like reds, blues and greens.
What colour soffits and fascias you get is entirely up to you, unless you live in a listed building, in which case some rules may apply. Most people choose a colour that matches their roof, walls or window frames to give their property an attractive, colour-coordinated look.
It may be shocking a whole lot of people would not be able to point out fascias and soffits on a building despite the fact that they’re an essential part of the roof.
