East Cowes
East Cowes is a community and also civil parish to the north of the Isle of Wight, on the eastern financial institution of the River Medina alongside its neighbour on the west financial institution, Cowes. Both towns are linked by the Cowes Floating Bridge, a chain ferryboat run by the Isle of Wight Council. East Cowes is the site of Norris Castle, and Osborne House, the previous summer season home of Queen Victoria and also Prince Albert. The Prince had a major impact on the style of the location, for example on the structure of St Mildred's Church in close-by Whippingham, which features unique turrets mimicing those found on a German castle.
