Smoke alarms are essential for every home. Each year, the Fire and Rescue Service visit over 600,000 fires which lead to more than 800 deaths. These incidents could be prevented by having smoke alarms set up in each household or business premises. Smoke alarms are self-contained devices that detect a fire and sound an alarm. They should be fitted to the ceiling, though in some properties you may see them fitted near the top of a wall. They can detect fires in their early stages, giving you time to react to a fire. You can find various kinds of smoke alarms and they can be battery-powered or wired to the mains electricity. Alarms that are powered by the mains are believed to be safer as you don’t need to be concerned about replacing the batteries when they run out. As long as you do not have a power cut, the smoke alarm should detect fires and keep you and your family safe. An electrician can help you install a smoke alarm and connect it to your mains power. Just fill in our online form and we’ll place you in contact with up to 4 electricians who are qualified to offer you a competitive quote.
The typical cost of Smoke alarms is £150. Costs can change based on the materials and the firm selected. The upper price range can be as high as £172.5. The material costs are in general approximately £37.5

Chepstow is a town in Monmouthshire, Wales. It adjoins the border with Gloucestershire in England. It is positioned on the River Wye, about 2 miles (3.2 km) above its confluence with the River Severn, and adjoining the western end of the Severn Bridge. It's 16 miles (26 km) east of Newport, 18 miles (29 km) north-west of Bristol and 110 miles (180 km) west of London. As outlined by the 2001 Census, the town has a permanent population of about 10821. Its accessibility to the cities of Bristol, Newport and Cardiff means it has a significant number of commuters. Chepstow Castle, situated on a clifftop above the Wye and its bridge, is often cited as the oldest surviving stone castle in Britain. The castle was established by William Fitzosbern promptly following the Norman conquest, and was extended in later centuries before becoming ruined following the Civil War. A Benedictine priory was also established within the walled town, which was the centre of the Marcher Lordship of Striguil. The port of Chepstow became noted during the Middle Ages for its imports of wine, and also became a major centre for the export of timber and bark, from nearby woodland in the Wye valley and Forest of Dean. In the late 18th century the town was a focus of early tourism as a part of the "Wye Tour", and the tourist sector remains important. Other important industries included shipbuilding - one of the very first World War National Shipyards was established in the town - and heavy engineering, such as the prefabrication of bridges and, now, wind turbine towers. Chepstow is also well known for its racecourse, which has hosted the Welsh National every year since 1949. For all of your home upgrades, be certain that you employ trustworthy professionals in Chepstow to make sure that you get the best quality.
