Abbots Bromley
Situated in Staffordshire in the West Midlands, Abbots Bromley is a small historic village. It is well-known for its annual Horn Dance held on Wakes Monday, the day following the first Sunday following 4th September. The Horn Dance is a folk dance from the Middle Ages where participants dance through the village. In 2001, Abbots Bromley had a population of 1,799. The village dates back to 942, and is recorded in the Domesday Book.
Abbots Bromley is situated 6.8 miles south west of Uttoxeter. The closest railway station is at Rugeley which is 5.8 miles south west of the village. 1.8 miles from the midpoint of the village is the Blithfield Reservoir, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
