Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a seaside town in Redcar and also Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England, around 12 miles (19 kilometres) south eastern of Hartlepool. It exists within the historical boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire. It has a population of around 6,000. The A174 road number is currently used for the Skelton/Brotton Bypass.
